Three things you can do this week to feel ready for what’s coming.

Let’s be honest—October in Tahoe is slow, and it’s a gift. It’s our moment to take a breath. So this week’s newsletter is short and sweet.

The shoulder season is nearly over. We have Thanksgiving week to get us back into the flow and then a short break the first 2 weeks of December before the season truly begins.

Before the holiday noise kicks in, you’ve got a chance to make a few small shifts that’ll go a long way. No overhauls. No pressure.

Just three simple things that’ll leave you feeling more prepared—and less panicked—when the rush hits.

1. Tidy Your Message

Check your website, your bio, and your last few posts. Do they reflect what you really want people to know right now?

Make one small update. That’s it. Clean, clear, and done.

2. Film Three Quick Videos

They don’t need to be polished. They just need to be real.

Set your phone on a steady surface and talk to the camera for 20–30 seconds. Try:

  • “Here’s what I do, and who it’s for.”
  • “A step-by-step, best way to use your services”
  • “A quick behind-the-scenes while it’s quiet.”

Batch them now. You’ll thank yourself later.

3. Sketch Out November

Sticky note? Google Doc? Back of an envelope?

Just jot down a few key things:

  • Holiday hours or closures
  • Promotions or offerings – Remember they are new and may not flow yet.
  • A couple of post ideas to share some gratitude

It doesn’t need to be fancy. It just needs to exist.

That’s it. Three small moves. Big relief.

You don’t have to do everything—just something. And doing it now makes space for the busy season ahead.

If there is a topic you’d like to hear more about by all means comment below or direct message and I’ll do my best.

Nothing better than a good question to jump into.
