6 tips to get you moving in the right direction this spring.
As I watch the new footage of snow accumulating it has been hard to motivate past shoveling these days. I do know that eventually spring will come and it will be brief this year. This means Summer will be upon us and the spring window between will be filled, fast, and furious.
So it’s a good time to plan.
Here are some tips to get you thinking. A few tactics to help build out a strategy for the coming summer.
Define your target audience: It's important to understand who your target audience is and what their needs and preferences are. Build a strong online presence: Your website is the foundation of your online presence. Everything needs to link back to your website. Make sure it's mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, your brand is consistent, and has relevant content that speaks to your audience. The ad by creating social media profiles on platforms where your audience is active.
Use SEO techniques: Search engine optimization (SEO) is critical for driving organic traffic to your website. Research keywords relevant to your business and incorporate them in your website copy, meta descriptions, and titles. My Favorite? Keywords Everywhere. And it’s free.
Use paid advertising: Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising on platforms like Google and Meta can help you reach a wider audience quickly. By knowing who you are talking to, you can use the platform's algorithms to ensure your ads are shown to the right people. Think Niche and Nurture.
Measure your results: This is the beauty of online marketing, its data and tracking capabilities. Use analytics tools to track the performance of your campaigns. Use the data to make informed decisions and optimize your marketing efforts.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Digital marketing is constantly evolving, so it's important to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices. Read blogs, and follow experts on social media to stay informed. Short video was all the rage in 2023, and now that it has populated and saturated I’ll be watching to see how these new video platforms morph.
Once you know where your efforts will be focused you can begin creating content for fueling your digital marketing. Being clear about what your top choice platforms will be will help with content creation. Every platform has a specific content creation protocol so knowing what your platform is will help with the process. Bonus Tip: Create for the first choice then modify for the outliers.
